latest release from Leeds/London based producer and vocalist Leo Qwest is
infectious, smooth and dryly funny all at the same time. ‘Blows My Mind’ mixes
elements of Roni Size, The Streets, 90s British dance and Massive Attack to
produce a soulful tune with some crackling beats and minimal instrumentation interspersed
with a bit of French spoken word, just for shits’n’giggles. I really like the
style and swagger of this tune, it’s understated but super cool and lord knows
we all need some cool tunes from time to time.
