The Shakers - Kiss Tracks (Infinity Records)
The Shakers - Kiss Tracks

Release Date: Out Now

South-West London kids The Shakers have built themselves a nice little cottage industry with a record label of their own, a stylish recording space and a debut single as a product of the two. 'Kiss Tracks' starts with a strained but slinky guitar line before settling in to a jerky, quirky pattern full of indie-pop swagger. There are elements of Mystery Jets, Bombay Bicycle Club. Jamie T and Vampire Weekend but also a real sense of originality and experimentation that can only come from a group of old mates handing around and messing about with their instruments (oo-er missus) to see what they can come up with. Definitely, 'ones to watch' as they say.
