Mt. Wolf are pretty much
beautiful in every way. As lookers you wouldn't kick any one of them out of bed
for farting but it's in their music that their beauty really shines through.
New single 'Anacrusis' starts with an early morning trickle of guitars creeping
in like sun around your curtains before the softly haunting voices and dull
thud of a beat start to hint at what is in store. The building tune emerges
over the horizon like the first morning of the summer holidays or daybreak at a
festival, full of hope, excitement and possibility. The gentle surge of
'Anacrusis' continues to swell over an epic six and a half minutes which you
might expect from an album closing track but these brave three amigos have only
gone and put this out as a single. As the tune builds to an absolutely almighty
crescendo you have to admire the beauty, bravery and talent of Mt. Wolf - their
parents must be so proud.
