I can't believe there hasn't been
a band called The Sherlocks before but here they are anyway. This tale of
heartache and broken dreams, new single 'Heart Of Gold', is pure Arctic Monkeys
meets Reverend and the Makers suburban soap opera but there is a more pop
element here that makes these guys a genuinely huge prospect. It's not that
they are dramatically original or strikingly unique but, in the same way that
Catfish & the Bottlemen have won over thousands on both sides of the
Atlantic, these lads have the tunes and the work ethic to pull of something
life changing here. Probably the only thing standing in their way is the fact
that the band consists of two sets of brothers which is a powder keg waiting to
be ignited if ever there was one.
