KOSOTI - SINGLE REVIEW

Kosoti - Gone Too Far
Kosoti - Gone Too Far

Release Date: 27th April 2015

The Northeast seems to be going through a bit of a purple patch at the moment in terms of spewing out new talent and Newcastle's Kosoti are another band on that production line. New single 'Gone Too Far' is a classic driving song with steady acoustic strumming and the kind of gravelly vocals that will have car loads of travellers singing along at the top of their lungs. There are elements of Del Amitri, Deacon Blue, a bit of the Mumford banjo and the kind of production quality you get on the solo project of a recently departed boy band member, but it works. Ironically, I really wanted to like Kosoti's last single but couldn't quite get along with it but this time I want to dislike it but it just gets under your skin. Well played Kosoti, you've won me over and, I suspect, you'll be winning over a lot of other people this summer.
