Calling are back with a new single and it's a whopper. 'Everybody Knows' is a
rock single in the Great British tradition of the like of 3 Colours Red,
Hundred Reasons, Feeder and (whisper it) Lostprophets. Huge riffs battles with
powerfully pounding drums and a throbbing bass line that gets you right in the
chest. This is anthemic rock at its best and deserves a crowd of sweaty fans
shouting the chorus back at the band with arms aloft. The video, on the other
hand, seems to be a strange mix of a practice session in the lounge of the
drummer's mum's semi and a road safety film featuring a Nuts model. Oddly
compelling.
