Duos are big news at the moment,
that's a given, but few make a bigger noise that Toronto two-piece Mad Ones.
New single 'Leather Rug' is a furious melee of crashing drums, meaty guitar
riffs and throat bursting vocals that most heavy rock bands would be proud of.
As the feedback creeps up and the distortion drones you can't help but get
caught up in the swirl of noise that has just a touch of class to it. Think a
heavier Black Keys, a leaner Buckcherry or a more lively Black Rebel Motorcycle
Club and you're coming close but you need to factor in the extravagant guitars
which are more System Of A Down or Faith No More and then you're really hitting
the spot. Imperious stuff.
