JUNGLE DOCTORS - SINGLE REVIEW

Jungle Doctors - Dry
Jungle Doctors - Dry

Release Date: 2nd March 2014

Teddington. I went there once. I can't for the life of me remember why. Or anything about it. But now I am pleased to introduce Teddington residents Sam, David, Will, Angus and Louis - the 5 men behind One Direction.......sorry, I mean Jungle Doctors. Don't get me wrong, these guys have got talent in abundance but there are 5 of them, they are impossibly young and their faces are fresher than orange juice with pips in it. 'Dry' is a delightfully upbeat piece of indie-pop which is alarmingly well crafted and perfectly pitched at a market of those making the transition from pop to indie and beyond. The terrifying thing, considering their age, is that these lads could probably hold their own with the more established likes of the Bombay Bicycle Club, the Maccabees or Vampire Weekend. They're probably not even that young but if they are then their UCAS personal statements are going to be a great read. In all seriousness, this is the kind of young band we should be getting excited about and supporting but, lads, for the love of God change your name - don't you think Arctic Monkeys wish they'd changed when they had the chance?
