Sheffield trio Skint Knees are a new band on me but their riot-grrl sound is instantly appealing and latest single 'Honey Badger' lives up to the initial hype. The crunching guitars and feedback squalls are matched with sneering vocals that give the pop a punky edge - think Shampoo with Lambrini Girls and Loose Articles writing their comeback album. There are couple of live dates coming up but with this sound and energy combination you would expect any live booker worth their salt to get them on at their venue pronto!
