Devon indie-rockers Burnt Daylight are taking on the singular 'Chariot of Fire' with a track that is mature beyond their years. Guitars ping and intermingle like a blend of Arctic Monkeys and Dutch Uncles while the breakdowns of drums, bass and vocals show that they've learned the lesson that less is sometimes more already. Vocally I enjoy the subtlety and sense that you don't need to scream all the time, saving that energy for the explosive chorus. I'm convinced, there's a band here with ideas and the ability to deliver them with real energy. Keep an eye on these lads.
