This track feels like and exciting evolution for Irish band the Clockworks as they move from edgy indie into something darker with a raw edge. 'Magnificent Seven' is built around an urgent and impatient beat and the kind of bassline that chain smokes and drinks dark liquor for breakfast. Vocally this is a blend of the Streets, Gorillaz, and breathless desperation, only being allowed to breath when the chorus drops and the melody swirls around like a flood of dopamine at the end of another day chained to your desk.
