DIE TWICE - SINGLE REVIEW

Die Twice - Jakobo

Release Date: Out Now

Die Twice are a Brighton based quartet who relocated from Exeter to continue their steady rise in popularity and critical acclaim. The band's new single, 'Jakobo', opens with a lament played on a saloon bar piano before the rest of the band come crashing in and then the song settles into an indie-meets-lounge swoon. Sure, there are elements of Muse and Radiohead in the grandiose arrangement and overtones of heavy sadness but I'm also reminded of 90s shining stars such as Headswim and Addict as well, of course, as the chief swooner himself, Jeff Buckley.
