London based Nian Tong is in reflective mood on new single 'What's On Your Mind' but don't think for a minute that this is a mopey song about feeling sorry for yourself. No sir, this track has more pep than a Glee club on the first day of the semester and the piano stabs soothed by warm horns make for the kind of sound that wouldn't be out of place on a West End stage. There are strong links to the criminally overlooked Temposhark but I can also hear the likes of Mika and the Feeling in this one that make it instantly likeable which is lucky because that chorus is a serious ear worm.
