HANNAH LOU LARSEN - EP REVIEW

Hannah Lou Larsen - Peach Pine Ocean EP

Release Date: 6th February 2026

A four track treat for your ears this February as the creative force that is Hannah Lou Larsen releases her new EP, 'Peach Pine Ocean'. Presumably taking title inspiration from a range of home fragrances, this EP opens with sublime recent single 'Move Like Rivers' which meanders forwards and backwards like nature stuck in a time loop, destined to ripple and sway for eternity. The digital rain drops that open up 'I'm Sorry' catch you off guard but the openly apologetic lyrics present like a mix of Alanis Morrisette at her most intimate and Jake Morley at his story telling best which instantly earns my affection and puts me at ease.

Fragrant title track 'Peach Pine Ocean' stutters and bubbles with life but also hums with a sense of regret given a voice by Larsen's delicate vocal delivery. The final track of the EP is 'Memorials', a mix of sombre clarinet, folky autoharp, and the delicate clash of influences making for a confusing but ultimately satisfying sound. There is nothing about this EP that bashes you over the head or grabs your attention but you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar and this collection is deliciously sweet so consider me caught.
