I seem to have hit a rich seam of whistling in new songs at the moment and it's a cheery sound that adds a little bounce to an otherwise grim world. The whistling on 'Too Old (For This Shit)' covers the cracks of sadness on Ellie Heath's new release as the Canadian singer-songwriter lists and laments the loss of her youth while she dances and whistles around a seemingly empty school. Musically, this is perky indie-pop at its finest and the melody gets under your skin whether you're feeling the effects of aging or not. I was disappointed not to see Danny Glover in the video though....
