Bit of a hangover from 2024 this one but I didn't want the excellent Tooth Gore think I hadn't noticed him. 'Cold Heart, Warm Skin' is the latest single from Cornish based Kobi Joe Hampshaw (the man behind the music) and it pulsates with a the perfect balance of punk energy and pop melodiousness. Hampshaw's vocal has the dead-eyed poise of a West Coast slacker but the wrought intensity of grunge is simmering just under the surface as the guitars chop and chug brilliantly.
