KEZIA GILL - SINGLE REVIEW

Kezia Gill - Gut Feeling (Snakefarm/Universal)

Release Date: Out Now

There's a quote from Kezia Gill in the press blurb describing her album as a "Nashville record with a British heart" and I think that just about sums this single up too. 'Gut Feeling' opens with deep, heart-broken country guitars but then Gill sings "I should be way too far gone by now, I should be three sheets to the wind" and the culture clash is complete. Powerhouse vocals and the kind of swaggering chorus that Shania Twain would be proud to sing make this the kind of song that jumps out at you with the energy of Florence + the Machine or CMAT after a Nashville sabbatical.
