If you watch the video for this track (recommended) then there is quite a lot of 'acting' before the music kicks in but once it does this is a proper indie-pop banger. Ainsley Costello's new single 'Exless' takes on the issues of friends being obsessed with coupling single people up. Choppy guitars and melodic vocals combine to place this somewhere between Charly Bliss and Avril Lavigne with Charli XCX edge to place it firmly in 2026. An anthem to being single? I think so.
