Life Aquatic Band are a hotly tipped collective from Sheffield who plough a furrow in infectious dance-punk bangers, such as their new single 'Stuck In The Mud'. A thoroughly addictive bass and beat combo get us going before a dry vocal delivery brings the likes of Pulp and LCD Soundsystem to mind. Before you know it you're dancing around the room with a sense of funk and groove you haven't felt for years and the only band that's given me this sense of intense and instant joy is the much overlooked Transformer. There are hints of Hot Chip in there as well and a sense that this is a band who are thoroughly ready to throw of the shackles of grey England and inject some colour into our lives.
