Irish duo HAVVK have always created music that exists on a razor's edge but new single 'Happening Again' is something else. Searing, squalling guitars are matched with clattering, Viking sized drums to create a sound that is as seismic as it is ear shattering. Then come the vocals, like lighthouse in the storm guiding you safely to shore in among the barrage of noise before taking control and settling into a more recognisable rock pattern. This is five and a half minutes of unleashed hell, sonically speaking, but it is as cathartic as it is exuberant.
