Dark, experimental duo Martyrs are dropping a new EP later this month but, before we get to that, we have a sneak preview of new single 'October Kind' to feast upon. A sombre strum on the acoustic guitar gets us underway accompanied by a world weary, deadpan vocal that has Gruff Rhys woven into it along with hints of Eels and Beck in the structures and grandiosity. Shout out to the, frankly, unsettling video as well which has a hint of the 70s and 80s public safety films to them but as if directed by the people that made the Blair Witch Project.
