The utterly brilliant Twat Union are taking on music industry sexism on their new single 'Singer Of The Band' but they're doing it with style, colour and energy. "People always think I'm singer of the band, when I saw 'people' it's usually a man" is a whip-smart opening line delivered on top of a screeching garage rock riffs and driving drums that put them up next to Loose Articles and Lambrini Girls in terms of energy and ferocity mixed with hooks and melodies. A great song but tragic that in 2025 there's still a culture that considers female musicians to only be suitable for singing and nothing else.
