It is an incredibly difficult trick to pull off true creativity in music but coupled with an actually engaging song. ESKA has pulled of just such a trick on new single 'Magic Woman' which straddles a number of genres and keeps you well and truly on your toes. Jazz structures and a rock vocal delivery come at you from two different directions to make your head spin but in the best way possible. Every second of this song is like walking into a club with Janelle Monae and Lenny Kravitz dueting on stage and having to adjust your ears to catch the drift of the song but you can never settle, never relax, never take your eyes off the target. Scintillating stuff.
