From Bradford but inspired by the roaming vistas of Texas and Nevada, Mookie & the Bab come with their own take on English folk via new single 'The Tide'. The track has an almost jazz vibe to it but if the jazz in question was being played in a gypsy caravan as the sun goes down and the stars come out to create nature's own disco ball. Sliding violins, a strutting beat and the kind of vocals that demand you pay attention, all mingle on the dance floor. Quite honestly, this is one of the most unique songs I've had the pleasure of reviewing this year and that's a refreshing glass of lemonade, let me tell you.
