I have to admit, I wasn't fully expecting the razor sharp guitar riff that introduces this new track from Courtney Dixon but it was an entirely welcome surprise. 'You Look Good Naked' takes the angularity of early 00s indie from the likes of the Strokes, the Long Blondes and Franz Ferdinand but then matches it with the oh-so-cool charming vocal stylings of Moloko or Dubstar. Hailing from South Shields, Dixon oozes pop star style but adds a double shot of indie cool to set her apart from the crowd and that, ladies and gentlemen, is no easy trick to pull off....especially not with a lamp shade on your head.
