I don't know what they put in the water over in Norway but they always seem to know how to pull off an impressive pop tune. Rikke's 'We Collide' starts with a subdued and slightly ominous drone before snapping into life with an indie-pop melody and energy that wraps you up in a sense of optimism akin to stepping out into Spring sunshine on a Saturday morning with no particular place to be. This particular brand of indie-alt-pop will appeal to fans of Kimbra or Sia and I count myself as fans of both so Rikke is fine to join the mononymous club.
