Scottish innovator Malka is back with a new single and a new direction of travel with her music. 'Baby I Need This' is a pulsating and bubbling mix of rhythms and melodies that creates a technicolour patchwork of disco, electro, alt-pop and the Berlin sound. Malka's impish and icy cool vocal is as recognisable and perfectly poised as always so the new direction may feature a change of energy and sound but there is a golden thread here that links it to her past work and, hopefully, future releases too.
