Joe Chown - The Great White North 
Technically, this dropped at the very tail end of 2024 but I wanted to hang on for 2025 to get underway as I think this might be a special year for Joe Chown. The Cornish singer-songwriter has released 'The Great White North' as his new single and it's a slice of bone rattling, road tripping, freedom fighting Americana that the world might just need right now. There are obvious comparisons to Springsteen but also Sam Fender and Kings of Leon as Chown strums the living daylights out of his guitar and wrings every ounce of rock'n'roll from his voice. This is a calling card from artist who will be back for more, whether you like it or not.
