The incomparable Gozer Goodspeed has only gone and squeezed out a new tune in aid of charity and not only is it a great cause, it is also a fantastic song to boot. 'Never Mind The Details, Ruben' takes us inside the mind of former death row inmate Ruben Cantu with a suitably and typically morose blues strum for accompaniment. Goodspeed's vocals suit the storytelling aspect of this track but you can hear the desperation and resignation as well, as though he's channeling the emotion of Cantu himself - a man wronged in so many ways. This is the song that Gozer Goodspeed was born to write and it is a brilliant tribute to a man most of us never knew.
