The release of Poppy Ajudha's album isn't until November so we'll have to feed on morsels until then but luckily her new single, 'Lean On Me', is particularly flavourful. Soulful, heartfelt vocals get us going before a skittish beat and smooth keys join in and then, well, the whole then starts to pop and bounce. What I love about this song is how confident and assured it is but the lyrical content is so vulnerable in its approach to mutual love and support. Radio friendly, great lyrics and a real sense of an artist heading in the right direction.
