SANS FROID - SINGLE REVIEW

Sans Froid - Gammons

Release Date: Out Now

Bristol outfit Sans Froid take an angular and darkly cinematic look at passive misogyny on new single 'Gammons' and it is really very good. Stirring together the performative nature of Kate Bush, the jutting guitars or early Franz Ferdinand, the dark spirit of city-mates Erotic Secrets of Pompeii and the general brilliance of the Joy Formidable, Sans Froid create a song unlike anything else you are likely to hear this year or next. Coupled with the simple but oh so effective video, this makes for an excellent jumping off point for a band that is new to me but one who I hope to hear more from.
