I must admit I'd pretty much forgotten about Calva Louise but the trio's new single comes roaring back to make me regret that lapse in memory and judgement. 'La Corriente' is delivered entirely in Spanish with a power and precision that you would normally expect from Muse but with a heaviness that is more akin to Turbowolf or the Warning. Thunderous slabs of guitar, powerhouse drums and melodies that burrow into your consciousness like the worm that got dropped in to the tequila bottle and came out fighting. Calva Louise are back and don't you forget it (I know I won't).
