I have to admit that I nearly let Christian Music pass me by but, thanks to morbid curiosity and a persistent PR (well done Ash), I decided to check these boys out and boy was I glad I did. The quartet from Stoke release 'Marimba-Tragic Death Cult' and it is quite something but I'm not quite sure what that something is. Manic guitars, drums speeding their way through the song and the kind of energy you'd expect from the Automatic, early Blur, Reuben or Young Knives with a couple of cans of Monster and a family bag of Monster Munch. The video finds the lads reeling round the streets in a soft top and generally having a blast so, all-in-all, Christian Music might well be my favourite new band of 2024.....so far.
