There's a gentle and almost reassuring pulse to this new release from the peerless Iskwe so if you've yet to discover her then this is a brilliant jumping off point. 'Waiting For The Laughter' blends electronic melodies with acoustic violin vibes on top of that insistent rhythm to create a swirl of noise all around you that leaves you disorientated and stumbling. Thankfully, Iskwe's voice acts as a calming beacon of light and home, guiding you through and giving you something to hang on to, even in your darkest moments. The rise and fall of this track over it's near six minute life-span is gorgeously done and will leave you feeling like you've been on a journey through someone's life but not necessarily your own.
