Catalonia based singer-songwriter Emily Gray is back with new single 'Killing Time' as she continues her fine run of releases.With a heady combination of rippling acoustic notes and moody vocal harmonies we get underway before a slow beat and sparse bass-line join in with the jazz inspired keys to give this a smoky and dramatic vibe. There is a hint of George Michael about the composition but as though Gwen Stefani has been asked to lay down a vocal track and she has brought notes and, honestly, I don't think I've ever referenced the Wham! and No Doubt singers in the same review so that tells you just how special and unique this track is.
