It should be stated from the very start that London based Asya Satti is, in no way, advocating for driving under the influence of alcohol - this song is a metaphor. 'Drunk Drive' blends alt-pop beats and a low-slung bass line are juxtaposed with melodies picked out on Sudanese classical guitar and a scattering of percussive flourishes that keep you guessing. The vocals are pitched somewhere between Goldfrapp, Grace Jones and Sade which makes for a sultry femme fatale vibe which only adds to an already intoxicating and heady brew - one that you should definitely be getting a cab after listening to.
