Coming out of Edmonton is solo artist Venna with her new single 'Nirvana' which sways in with a sultry energy and a Latin inspired melody played out through an electronic orchestra. If you heard Selena Gomez or Shakira come out with this track you'd think it was an edgy new direction but instead this is an edgy artist which is even more exciting. Lyrics like "The apathy is paradise, it hurts and I feel so fucking alive" are delivered with the pin-point precision of UPSAHL and the song builds to a snarling and whirling crescendo which makes you want to go back to the start again immediately.
