A quick search of Google will tell you that Quasi Qui is Italian for 'almost here' and I think we can all agree that it sounds far better in Italian but what, I ask, is this duo's music like? Well, their new single 'Directorial Debut' is a delightful slice of gentle English pop with bouncing keys, gently nudging drums and the kind of soft, welcoming vocals that draw the listener in. The Beach Boys meets the Divine Comedy vibes are strong and, frankly, that's all I need to seal the deal (despite a press picture that looks like a mid-80s L'Oreal advertisement).
