Please Prettylea is one of the UK's most underrated and overlooked artists as we enter the mid-point of 2022 so I implore you to listen to her new single and then check out her back catalogue too. 'Burden' is one of Please Prettylea's more downtempo numbers which blends Roni Size and Portishead vibes with a sinister Moloko meets 12 Rounds tone. As the song unfurls as though it has been filmed in reverse, you can't help but marvel at the theatrical nature of the vocal which mixes so brilliantly with the direct and decisive melodies.
