WITCH FEVER - SINGLE REVIEW

Witch Fever - Congregation (Music For Nations)

Release Date: Out Now

Witch Fever are one of the most exciting bands to come out of the UK in 2022 and I almost don't want to know any more about them than the music and accompanying videos they produce. The art speaks for itself but there is real substance here so their music is the gift that keeps on giving. 'Congregation' is the title track of their debut album due out in October and it is reliably dark, brooding and unrelenting. A churning rhythm section slowly undulates beneath a razor sharp guitar line before the whole thing blows up with a fuzzed up 90s energy. Every word of the vocal delivery is full of pain, experience and injustice which adds a layer of real passion over the top of the almost cold musical peformance. It is a lot to take in but it is so worth opening yourself up to that experience.
