This is the debut single from Izzy S.O. and 'Flirting With Strangers' which is touted as Grunge-Pop but I'm not sure that does the singer-songwriter justice. Sure, the gentle acoustic strum and powefully emotive vocals have a 90s tinge to them but there is a greater link to the likes of Mazzy Starr, the Cranberries or Alanis Morisette than to the Grunge genre per se. That said, the triumphant and relentless build to the climax is utterly irresistable in its raw and edgy power so maybe that's where the grunge comes in. Either way, it's a brilliant song and a seriously impressive debut.
