BERRIES - SINGLE REVIEW

Berries - We Are Machines (Xtra Mile Records)

Release Date: Out Now

So the news that we've all been waiting for has been announced. The debut album by superb trio Berries has been announced for July but for now we must share the delights of this new single to keep us going. 'We Are Machines' hits hard from the start with a rumbling bass line and pounding drums carrying the energy while the guitars and vocals twist and snarl around each other like the twin heads of dragon. But there is subtlety here too as the angularity of the melodies and delivery of lyrics like "we are machines, its how we function" give this a post-punk art school vibe. The album is going to be immense, I can just feel it.
