Gorgeous - Divine

So, Gorgeous are a Danish duo made up of Marie Louise and Murga and that is pretty much all I know about them apart from that this release, 'Divine', is their debut offering. That's all you need to know, however, when the music is this good and this enthralling. Impish vocals are matched with Fleetwood Mac-esque songwriting and a real sense of regret and sadness within the melodies albeit tinged with hope. This is the kind of song that could be huge in the hands of an established pop star but it has more charm and warmth coming out this way and the production is perfect so I'm definitely up for more and that refers to both music and information about the band.
