I've really fallen for Fickle Friends in 2021 and this last single release before the forthcoming album is only making me more obsessed. 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' blends a 90s riot girl indie energy with a 21st century pop ambition and hooks that have flavours of Garbage, Rhianna, Katy Perry, UPSAHL and Republica. The beat is relentless, the vocals walk the line between controlled delivery and losing control, and the guitars crunch and grind way more than you expect them to but it all works. Brilliantly I might add. The album is out in January so when you get your new kitten calendar from your Aunt this Christmas, be sure to mark this one down as a must buy.
