Exeter quartet Poppyshow are fairly new on the scene but there's an honesty and openness to their music that suggests they've started off on the right foot. Musically, 'Sick And Tired' romps and thrashes around the stage like an early Arctic Monkeys track full of furious guitar playing, desperate drumming and all the energy they band can muster. The vocals, however, have a more trans-Atlantic appeal which puts me in mind of new favourites Hippo Campus or a younger version of Brandon Boyd. The combination is a song that itches and sweats with nervous energy as the band wrestle with their inner demons and mental health. And all you can do is dance. More please.
