Good lord this song is just paradise in a bottle. Mimikat is a big fan of Mariah Carey, that's no secret, and you can hear that in her voice as she sings 'Lantau' but she has such a soft and inviting tone that there is no danger of labeling her a copyist. The gently plucked guitar and shuffling percussion draw you down to her slice of beach side paradise only for her voice to sooth you and wash your worries away with a 90s R&B flavour but something altogether more fresh and exotic lingering in the melodies and harmonies. Genuinely beautiful music performed with care and a delicate touch as well as a phenomenal but understated voice.
