Sleigh Bells - Locust Laced (Lucky Number)

I bloody love Sleigh Bells and it largely comes down to their mix of the utterly brutal and the supremely sweet. The duo's new single 'Locust Laced' doesn't disappoint as an oddball intro is met by the twin barrels of heavy-as-fuck guitars and perfectly poised pop vocals singing lines like "send me an angel....of death". The beats power through furiously while the guitars chop and change and the chorus refrain of "I feel like dynamite" is both infectious and disturbing in almost equal measure. The accompanying video is one of the best I've seen this year too but I won't spoil that surprise for you, it's too much of a joy for me to ruin for you.
