Edmonton’s Scenic Route to Alaska
are back with new single ‘Polarized’ which blurs then lines between a number of
influences in the most wonderful way. There is the intensity of Biffy Clyro,
the angst of My Vitriol, the ambition of Arcade Fire and the pop swagger of the
Killers or Feeder not to mention the rock’n’roll chops of the Lad Classic. The
guitars stab and grind, the drums and percussion have a Rolling Stones vibe and
the energy just soars by the time you reach that climax. Not bad for three guys
from Canada.
