This is the second release I’ve
been sent by Glasgow based Asthmatic Harp (aka Hannah Fredsgaard-Jones) and I
think I might be developing a bit of a musical crush. ‘To the Boats’ finds the
Danish born singer-songwriter accompanied by Sophie Kilburn to create a rich and
dreamy vocal harmony that drifts atop the sparse musicianship. This is the kind
of song that enters your subconscious as you fall softly asleep and then
soundtracks your dreams as sprinkled piano notes and an occasional rhythm lead
you off in to an enchanted woodland clearing to watch the fairies dance in the twilight.
