AKA George continues to be one of the more innovative male
solo artists around at the moment and new single ‘I Want You’ keeps that record
going at the moment. A slinky verse with hushed tones has hints of Justin
Timberlake or George Michael about it but when he cries “I’m on fire, come on
put me out” there’s something a bit more European about the passion and it
makes you dream of balmy nights cruising around the Mediterranean, partying on
beaches and drinking cocktails. From the throbbing bassline to the use of breathy
vocal harmonies this is a genuinely original sounding track so for that reason alone
you should be paying attention.
